The meeting was called to order by Ann Taggart. There were 15 people and 3 school resource officers in attendance.
The power point presentation is on the website. Presentations have been given to the Westborough School committee and Northboro Rotary. It was suggested the presentation be given at the end of the 8 th grade introduction to high school night in Northboro. It was suggested to get a copy of the Westborough school committee presentation to put on Northboro local public access channel.
Suggestions for future presentations are students and parents involved in a drug related situation, and a speaker from the probation department.
Fund raising and goals were discussed. Donations have been received from Westborough Athletic Social Association, Westborough Patrolman’s Association and St. Rose of Lima Church, Northboro.
There was discussion of the cable television program “Not my Kid.” It was suggested that we preview any program before scheduling them in the group. Cable television programming will be pursued as well.
The three school resource officers presented an informational discussion on drug use and terminology in use today by teenagers. They had great visuals for the discussion as well.
A press release on the program along with picture of check presentation to Ann will be in the local newpapers over the next month.
