Algonquin's
post prom party-Discussed success of the post prom. Over 350 students attended, about 75% of the
junior class. It was a safe, fun, free
evening for everyone who attended.
·
Westborough's
post graduation party-discussed similarities between this and Algonquin's post
prom. Again, this was well attended and
provided a safe alcohol free environment in which students could celebrate
their graduation
·
Funding
issues-discussed various grant opportunities.
Also spoke about pursuing funding from different organizations including
junior women's, PTAs, Rotary, and other civic groups. Will also speak to the police departments
about funding possibilities. Spoke about
need to fund parenting education programs.

Goals
for next year-Our goals for next year are to increase our membership through
greater publicity. Plan to speak to all
of the school committees in the fall.
Also, plan to get info into all newsletters and on cable and newspapers. Discussed possibly providing parent education
forums throughout the year, as well.

Next
meeting-Tuesday, August 22nd at Westborough H.S. at 7:00pm. The following meeting will be on Tuesday,
Sept. 19th at Algonquin at 7:00 pm.
