9/19/06

●         Presented the power point that was developed to present to the local School committees.  Got feedback from members about ways to improve the presentation, stressing the importance of discussing the Social Host Law, among other things.

●         Discussed possible funding sources.  Chip Dapolite, Westborough's Resource Officer, suggested writing a letter to the local patrolman's union to solicit funding. Decided to make a  fund raising goal of $10,000 for the year.

●         Spoke about other goals for the upcoming year.  Discussed parenting workshops. Brian Griffin, the resource officer at Algonquin, has agreed to speak to parents about drugs/alcohol and the Social Host Law.  Chip Dapolite will speak as well.

●         Members shared various experiences about contacting their children's friends' parents with concerns.  Discussed ways to approach the issue of supervision/drinking with unfamiliar parents.
